Who we are

Plant engineering from a Thika works floor.

Thomas Ashford started the firm in 1974 for factories that needed mechanical design and a shop that could build and install. Today Ashford Works sits on the Thika industrial belt — Kenyan-managed, drawing-led, and still close to the floor.

We take plant packages from concept through fabrication, site fit, commissioning, and upkeep: conveyors, process equipment, workshop plant, pressure systems, and mechanical modifications for agro-processing, logistics, and light industry.

Ashford Works

Where drawings meet steel.

Fabrication bays, fitting benches, and trial assembly sit under one roof. Mechanical engineers work the drawings against what the shop can make — then follow packages onto client sites for install and commission.
